青い大きな砂地の壁が横断する7坪の小さな焙煎所

TODOKEL COFFEE ROASTERY

神戸市灘区の閑静な住宅地に位置する約7坪のコーヒー豆の焙煎所の計画である。

小さな店舗面積ながら販売スペースや焙煎スペースに加え、ワークショップを行うという多機能性が求められた。

施主との多くの対話と様々な検討を経て、現況の店舗区画内に新しく1枚の大きな壁をコの字に設けるのみというシンプルかつ大胆な計画となった。

この1枚の大きな壁に沿って、接客スペース・作業スペース・水回りを配し、この場でおきる行為がこの壁を背景に、時にはこの壁があるからこそ生まれるように、そして小さなスペースながら奥行き感を生むように緻密に壁本体、開口の位置・サイズを決定していった。壁の仕上げには骨材入りの青色の刷毛塗り塗装を施すことで生まれる「粗さ」が、時間の経過の中で色や光のムラによる様々な表情をつくり出し、小さながらんどうの空間を居心地良くしてくれている。

This project is the renovation of a small part of the house to the shop with roastery for coffee.

Though we have a small space for shop, we were required multi-use to it, that is not only for sale, roasting of coffee, packing them, but also workshop with coffee. So we proposed the simple and bold method that it is added just the new wall with blue color in a U shape in this existing space, and our intention is making one space for multi-purpose surrounded with the new wall.

We planed the position and size of the wall and the some openings in it accurately for user’s several activities occured naturally. The finish of it is painted with fine aggregate, and it makes several expression due to color and sunlight’s irregularity through a day.
